| Description | The Coady offers several educational programs. In addition to their internationally recognized five-month Diploma in Community-Based Development Program, the Institute also offers several specialized one-month Certificate Programs. The programs illustrate highly successful development practice that is based on practical responses to local opportunities and problems. They emphasize the need for a responsible social vision, just, equitable and effective institutions to achieve that vision, and the active participation of disadvantaged people in their own development.

The Coady has committed a major part of its resources to developing the capacity of Southern training and educational institutions to deliver effective, sustainable, results-based training programs in their respective regions. Together with their partners we are creating a global network that will provide a vehicle for the dissemination of best practices and a forum for shared learning. Through the Global Partnership Program, the Coady Institute has also introduced innovative program delivery mechanisms through distance education. Partners include:
