The objective of this section is to list training courses and workshops that are being offered at international and national level in the field of development banking, rural or micro finance, enterprise development and other related topics.

Courses may include university and training institute programmes that lead to qualifications, as well as ad hoc short courses for awareness raising or in-service training. Exchange visit and distance learning opportunities will also be listed when available.

DescriptionThe course is highly relevant for professionals in the fields of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise development, Private Sector Dev. Economic Reconstruction, Local Economic Development and livelihoods, Employment and Microfinance.The material is based on experience from effective small enterprise development programs that have reached thousands of enterprises, helping them to grow and create jobs and improve livelihoods. The approach is called “market development for pro-poor growth” because it harnesses the power of markets and the private sector to strengthen small-scale enterprises and generate sustainable benefits for the poor.

This is a felxible blended course. It uses an easily accessible and interactive web-plateform as virtual classroom (www.itcilo.org/marketdev ). Participants can select the module(s) that best respond to their learning needs and access reference materials, experience guided study supported by tutors, and join collaborative on-line activities. A 4 day face-to-face training activity is a highly recommended part of the learning journey and will enable you to consolidate your learning. Having completed module 1 is a pre-requisite to participate in the event. Each module entitles for a certificate while the completion of the whole course (4 modules) gives you the right to a diploma.
