| Description | The objective of this "game" is to enable participants on a training course to experience the importance of proper planning, efficient use of resources and high quality standards for the success or failure of a business. The resources required are paper, pencils, scissors and glue. To play the game course participants are organised into groups and together they plan an envelope manufacturing enterprise. By working as a group the participants are also exposed to the difficulty of planning and managing group income-generating activities and this is very important for enterprise advisers to understand. The money values can all be adjusted to local currencies and the handouts adjusted accordingly. They can, of course, also be translated for local use. The game was originally published in the book "Getting Down to Business", a manual for training business women, Intermediate Technology, 1992. Instructions are provided in two downloadable documents: the Facilitator's Notes in pdf format and the Participants' Notes in word format so they can be edited. |
